Going back to Korea

Hello Everyone!

I wanted to send out a quick update this week and let you know that I received a visa and will be going back to Korea! The timing worked out as we had hoped and I will be flying back on July 4th to resume my full-time missionary service. I'm not quite sure how the visa process was completed so quickly but I am extremely grateful and can't wait to get back

I probably won't email next week because I'll be  on a plane, but in two weeks I'll be emailing from Korea again. Have a great week everyone!

Praying for a quick processing time

Hello Everyone!

It's been a few weeks since my last update, so I wanted to do another short update really quick.

The recovery is going well, I'm almost all healed and there have not been any complications so far, so all good news there. And the big news for the week is that I have been cleared to go back to being a missionary in Korea still, which was very exciting! I'm really grateful that everything has been going so well and that I get to go back to the same country that I was serving in before.

So now that I have been cleared, we are working on obtaining another visa to be able to enter the country again, so now all that we are waiting on is the Korean government. We will really be cutting it close and it is not guaranteed, but if the visa does get processed in time, we have a tentative departure date of July 4th. And that is the situation as of now, so we are praying for a quick processing time and a quick return to Korea! I'm happy here in America with my family and having a great time, but I'm ready to get back out there for sure.

I guess that's it from me, hopefully I'll be sending emails from Korea before too long!

Have a great week everyone!

I've only accidentally bowed to somebody once

Hey Everyone!

I've been in america for about a week and a half, and I just wanted to do a quick update just in case any of you were wondering if I was still alive.

The surgery went well, there have been no complications so far and the recovery is on track to be finished in time. So as long as I am able to get a visa in enough time, getting back to Korea in 6 weeks should be no problem.

I spent a week in Utah with my grandparents and my mom while I recovered, and now I'm back in California for the remainder of the recovery. If any of you want to contact me, my phone number while I'm here is 559-295-8833 (I think it only does texts and not calls, sorry).

I haven't had much culture shock, the only social blunder I've committed in America is forgetting that we have a dishwasher and washing all of the dishes by hand... And I've only accidentally bowed to somebody once here so I'm feeling pretty well-adjusted already~

I'll keep it short, just letting everyone know that I'm doing well, I'm happy here, and I can't wait to be back in Korea!

Have a great week!
